managing
if i was a manager, and i had a employee that was constantly late and unmotivated being a lazy worker I would, start by trying a democratic way of dealing with this employee, asking y they are late, weather or not they need their schedule changed, and ask if they are having problems affecting them, causing them to have emotional issues that cause them to not be able to work to the fullest of their capacity, BUT it there Are changes made and no change in behaviour is noticed ( none what so ever ) i would be forced to change to autocratic methods and simply say show up or you can consider your self terminated.

I agree with you. Not many managers are that way though they are more autocratic now of days and are not willing to give people a chance to explain themselves.
